Amy is a dear friend of Deann's from college -- they were 2 of the 5 students known as the "Covenant Cuties" who helped manage the video production company at Anderson University. So when Amy and Matt contacted us about shooting their wedding, to say we were excited would be an understatement.
At our first meeting with them, we loved hearing the story of how they met while working at WTHR, a local news station in Indy (no, it wasn't love at first sight, just ask Amy!). And when it came to their wedding day, they did an amazing job letting their personalities show through from beginning to end.
The day started with the girls hanging out at the salon while the guys got ready/had a pretend jam session at the church.
Next, it was off to Fountain Square for some good 'ole wedding party fun!
Can we just pause for a moment and mention how gorgeous Amy is?! Her dress was absolutely perfect for her, and she rocked it all day and evening!
And... Matt and his guys weren't too bad on the eyes, either!
Now for the big moments of the day -- ceremony time! We loved the personal touches Amy and Matt had during the service -- from the interview video we helped create that played at the beginning, to Amy's uncle performing the ceremony, and the Mexican traditional lasso ceremony.
One of the flower girls never really warmed up to walking down the aisle, and she actually took a little snooze after the ceremony. Not a bad idea -- rest up for the party! Ha!
We had never been to 1899 (the reception venue), but were excited at the gorgeous places to shoot with the bridal party outside. It threatened to rain the whole time, but it held off and gave us some stunning clouds!
We are so in love with these bride and groom shots! Amy & Matt were picture perfect all day long -- even when we just told them to walk together, dance or just hang out and talk!
Once inside 1899, the real party began! And we're pretty sure we had a record number of photos taken during this reception! From all the cute details to the *mariachi band* (!!!), we had a ton of photo ops and were able to deliver so many fun images to help Amy and Matt remember for years to come.
